Life certificate update for 2025

A number of Polish pension beneficiaries in the US and Canada have inquired with us as to when they will receive the life certificate this year, since traditionally it has arrived in October or November of the previous year. In our most recent communication with ZUS, the national insurance institution of Poland, they informed us that the life certificate, known as the EMRG form, has not yet been sent out to beneficiaries residing in North America. In the meantime, they encouraged beneficiaries to complete the life certificate on their own and mail it to ZUS.

The EMRG form can be found on our Website here, along with instructions on how to complete it. If beneficiaries have any questions or if they have any issues in sending it abroad to Poland, please contact us, and we will assist.

If and when ZUS mails out the life certificate to beneficiaries in North America, we will post another update in this space.

    Hello Robert,
Thank you for this work that you are doing. I would like to apply for the abovementioned Polish pension for my father, Robert Magda. He is 95 years old, and is one of the 500 Polish Syberaci children who arrived in Oudtshoorn, South Africa on 10 Apr 1943 on the ship Dunera. It would be so helpful to him financially, as he lives on a tiny pension and has no savings. My friend Bev Vaskys did a similar application for her father, Felix Vaskys, and this is how I learned of this grant / pension made available for elderly Polish people. I will try to follow the instructions given to me in order to apply. If you have any specific suggestions or forms, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you, kindly. Loraine Magda.
